Greetings. You'll notice that there are a few things listed in our events schedule on the right. I have some definite information regarding two of them.
On Feb. 12th, Abraham Lincoln portrayer Robert Costello will be coming to Brooklyn for a day of lectures. The first will be at New Utrecht High School early in the day. Several hundred students from neighboring schools will be attending the program. Many more were planning to attend, but sadly, the school bus strike will prevent them from being there.
At 7:30pm, there will be another program in the parish house of the New Utrecht Reformed Church on 18th Ave and 84th St. This program is free and open to the public.
I, and hopefully a few friends, will be in uniform accompanying Mr. Costello at both programs.
This event is hosted by 'The Friends of Historic New Utrecht'.
From July 1-3, we will be joining our friends from the 'Society of Civil War Surgeons', for a living history event at the Gettysburg National Battlefield Park commemorating the 150th anniversary of the battle. We will be at our usual spot next to the Pennsylvania Monument.
That is all that I have for you right now. Cheers.
