11th Annual Gettysburg Medical Living History

I am pleased to report that we have returned home safely from our medical living history in Gettysburg. The 90°+ temperature was hotter than I can remember it ever being over the past 10 years of this event, but considering what those brave fellows had to endure 152 years ago on that very same land, I have no right to complain.
It was good to see our friends and fellow members of the Society of Civil War Surgeons. My less than 4 hour drive from Staten Island is a treat compared to those folks coming in from Michigan and Ohio. It's one of only a few times a year that we get to see them. I do wish that we lived closer together.
Our next event will be out in Sayville, NY, 9/18-20.
