Next stop, Gettysburg

On November 14th, our small troop will be heading west to Gettysburg for the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies. We'll be following our usual routine for that weekend. Arriving early on Friday, doing some shopping, eating, drinking, and touching bases with our friends in the hobby.
On Saturday morning at 9, we'll be meeting at the Camp Letterman monument with other members and friends of the "Society of Civil War Surgeons" to place a wreath in tribute to the "Medical Service" members on both sides who struggled to save the lives of the thousands of wounded of both armies.
Following that service, Co. H will proceed to the 14th's monuments at McPherson's Ridge, The Railroad Cut, and Culp's Hill where we will present wreaths and perform our dedication ceremonies.
Upon completion, we usually spend the remainder of the day sightseeing, as we no longer participate in the afternoon parade.
Sunday morning will find us at the National Cemetery at 9 where we place City of Brooklyn flags at the graves of the Redlegs buried there.
That pretty much ends our weekend program. Please join us if you wish.
