Adopt-A-Line

Every year the Gettysburg National Military Park Service hosts a volunteer program to help with a Spring cleanup of the battlefield. The Fourteenth Society has been involved in this annual event long before I joined up 16 years ago and I'm happy to report that we were able to keep that record unbroken this past weekend.
The areas around the three 14th Brooklyn monuments at McPherson's Ridge, The Railroad Cut, and Culp's Hill were cleaned of leaves, fallen branches and other debris.

The monument at the Camp Letterman Field Hospital site was cleaned up as well.
