Adopt-A-Line 2013

I couldn't have asked for better weather than we had this past weekend at Gettysburg. That's two for two so far this year. Three more visits to go.
George and I arrived early on Friday as is our custom. We spent the day at various shops, stores and sutlers to pick up some needed items and to restock for the upcoming living history season.

As expected, we finished our monument clean up before noon on Saturday and proceeded into Maryland to the Fort Frederick Market Fair.
While there, we met up with our friend Jackie Greer and took in a few of the sutler tents for more supplies. On our way back to Pennsylvania, we made a slight detour over to Frederick for dinner. Even though the National Museum of Civil War Medicine is located there, our primary reason for visiting town is Brewer's Alley on North Market St. Good food, better beer.

On Sunday morning we decided to head home early. Before we left Gettysburg, we drove to the battlefield to look over the proposed site of our July living history. It's near our usual August location by the Pennsylvania Monument. Cheers.
